Presently our professional team consists of Leesa Maldonado, DVM (owner and primary doctor). Dr. Maldonado graduated from Texas A&M in 1993. Her career started in a mixed animal practice not far from San Antonio until the opportunity came to have her own practice. Since then, she has managed and practiced at Assure Vet Animal Hospital, growing it from a double wide mobile home to a new state of the art practice it is today.
The wonderful and dedicated support staff consists of:
Donna (head receptionist and problem solver), Donna has been with this hospital since its conception 19 years ago and was the person who encouraged me to strike out on my own and begin Assure Vet Animal Hospital.
Sue (receptionist, order clerk, and backup Veterinary assistant), Sue has been with us for 18 1/2 years, she, like Donna, had worked previously where I had been an associate Veterinarian. Sue decided to follow us here after a short 6 months.
Jeanette (Veterinary assistant), Jeanette has been with us for 8 years and, continues to grow in knowledge and abilities, educating clients on their pets care and well being. She has been a great asset to the team in compassion and care of the pets and reliability to the hospital.
Carolina has been part of our team for 2 years and shows great promise in her abilities and continues to grow in her knowledge. She takes wonderful care of the pets and we are lucky to have her.
